STOP ERRORISM CAMPAIGN

JUNE 11, 2007

On May 22nd, 2007, a group of eight individuals decided to undertake a journey on foot from Toronto to Ottawa to address constant issues of antagonism imposed by majority groups on minority groups. Various forms of stigma are often incorporated in everyday dialogue by individual belonging to majority groups to negatively portray minorities. The main objective of this walk was to create awareness of such events that target and segregate minority persons. The term "Errorism" was not only coined to address the oppression imposed on the Tamil Community, but to touch upon the general viewpoints of civilians in Western societies. The walk was completedĀ  on June 11, 2007, which marks "Student Uprising Day" in Tamil Eelam. A big thanks goes outĀ  to all those who supported them and participated in the campaign.
